So here it is, as it developed in my spirit...
God had created the universe and everything in it, including earth and mankind, and rested on the 7th day. Shortly thereafter, the first couple fell in disobedience of God and began a life separated from their Creator. Week after week folks on earth revered God but later began to alienate themselves from Him more and more. Then some two thousand years passed by without any law written down for people to live by. The folks on planet earth ended up destroyed by the Flood because of their evil rebellion against God and one another. With one righteous family, a new era began again that lasted another two thousand years. It is during this time that God began to write His book. To do this God needed a ghostwriter. So He found someone in the wilderness who wanted to write and who was qualified for the work. His name was Moses. God downloaded His thoughts into His dedicated servant who would put them down in writing, verbatim. The purpose of this was to write down a law of conduct for the people of earth. As the years went by, God would find many other contemporary writers who were willing to ghostwrite for Him. And God kept these separate papers safely in the historical archives of His people. After many years, God found some publisher to bind these 39 documents so far written, into a book that by now included four categories: law, history, poetry and prophecy. This first edition became known as the Old Testament. Then, after these two thousand years had ended, another era of two thousand more years began. And God decided to write another book which became His commentary of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament in which Redemption became available under Grace rather than Law. This time, he began this 2nd edition by coming down to earth Himself in the form of a human – His Word actually became flesh – to deliver personally His message of Redemption by Grace. For this, He had to give his life in order to become the perfect and ultimate sacrifice, replacing the temporary animal sacrifice of the previous two thousand years of law. After His thirty-three years on earth, He returned to His Kingdom and hired some more ghostwriters to continue writing His book. Again after keeping the papers safely in the historical archives of mankind, He found people to bind the 27 new documents together into another book which became known as the New Testament. Eventually the Old and the New Testaments were bound together to form the Holy Bible – God’s Book. thebible And it’s been the best seller year after year ever since.
