Sex, Life and Abortion

Never before in our lifetime has there been so much obsession with sex.

It’s bad enough to see what’s on television and in magazines — it is carried out around us, into the work place, in public areas that used to be safe, almost everywhere we go.

And our society says, “There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s normal and even natural to openly talk about sex and even be sexually active”! Some boast or complain about their perpetual state of lustfulness. (If they would get out of porn books and strip joints, the unnecessary lust would drop.)

When I studied the physiological process of the normal, healthy human sexual experience — which should take place between a husband and wife only — I could not help but see an awesome revelation of a Creator.

We are not some sort of parasites that developed out of some amoebic soup millions of years ago. Mutation itself disproves that theory. If you let something go to itself, it will deteriorate and not get better. Try it on your car and your house or yourself.

During the entire process of copulation, there is a conjoint step by step synchronization and transformation of physiological reflexes and responses that take place within both the male and female bodies -- all without their own doing!. By the way, mankind is the only creature that copulates face to face.

(Ok, somebody rebutted once that there is an animal that does, but I don’t remember which one he told me it was. And I did not research his claim, however suffice it to say that if that is the case, it’s only one freak occurrence -- and standards are not set by freak occurrences).

During the mutual four-phase sexual cycle, the male body functions “know” precisely when to activate each of the physiological processes that take place, and the female body functions “know” precisely when to parallel these corresponding physiological changes.

The human individual does not know how or when to provide spinal reflexes of mechanoreceptors, parasympathetic vasocongestion, accessory gland secretion and acrosomal enzymes for the barriers of the cytoplasm! Thank goodness, God made it all automatic!

However, as stated in Fundamentals of Physiology, by Lauralee Sherwood, Department of Physiology School of Medicine, West Virginia University, the basic spinal reflexes “can be either facilitated or inhibited by higher brain centers through descending pathways that also terminate on the autonomic nerves.”

(That means that men's biggest organs are their brains!)

It says that in fact, impotence is most commonly caused by psychological influences rather than actual physical limitations. In other words, we have a built-in system that let’s us control the reflexes according to our willful upbringing and socio-environmental systems.

In other words the way we are trained will affect our actions.

Our actions are controlled by higher brain centers. We are not slaves to sex. We are not robots or cortexless animals. As coined by the psalmist, we are “wonderfully and fearfully made” (Psalm 139:14) — and that, in the image of God.

Then there is the whole awesome matter of the reproduction of human life itself, when the union of male and female gametes turn into a brand new person — a child or a fetus -- while yet in the womb.

In Psychology by David G. Myers, Hope College, Holland, Michigan it says, “New life is created when egg and sperm unite. At this time the twenty-three chromosomes carried in the egg are paired with the twenty-three chromosomes brought to it by the sperm.”

Life begins here...

Not only do medicine and psychology say that life begins at conception and conception at the meeting of egg and sperm, but science and technology today let us know exactly how the awesome process takes place microscopely.

Psychology : "The process begins when a mature egg is released by the ovary and some 300 million sperm" (give or take a few) "begin their race upstream toward it.”

“Like space voyagers approaching a huge planet, the sperms approach a cell 85,000 times bigger than themselves.

The relatively few sperm that make it to the egg release digestive enzymes that eat away the egg’s protective coating, allowing one sperm to penetrate the egg.

“As it does so, an electrical charge shoots across the ovum’s surface, blocking out other sperm during the minute or so that it takes the egg to form a barrier. Meanwhile, fingerlike projections sprout around the successful sperm and pull it inward. The egg nucleus and the sperm nucleus move toward each other, and before half a day has elapsed, they fuse. The two halves become one.”

No credit to mankind. It’s all God made. God created.

That’s where you come from — one chance out of trillions. That’s how special you are.

Beginning as one cell, you became two cells, then four — each cell just like the first. Then, within the first week, the cells divided into some 100 which began to specialize in structure and function. The embryo grows and develops rapidly. At forty days, the spine is visible and the arms and legs are beginning to grow.

Five days later the embryo’s proportions begin to change; the rest of the body is now bigger than the head and the arms and legs have grown noticeably. By the end of 8 weeks, facial features, hands and feet have formed and as it enters the fourth months the fetus weighs about three ounces. During the embryonic period the organs form and begin to function, the heart begins to beat and the liver begins to make red blood cells.

By the end of the sixth month, internal organs such as the stomach become sufficiently formed that they allow a prematurely born fetus a chance to survive. The prenatal stages are called, Zygote - from conception to two weeks; Embryo - two weeks through eight weeks; and Fetus (from the word “to bring forth”) - nine weeks to birth.

Biology has become so sophisticated now, scientists have pinpointed the single gene on the Y chromosome that seems responsible for “throwing the master switch leading to the maleness of a child.” (Psychology).

To make the miracle of life even more awesome, consider that each chromosome is composed of long threads of molecule DNA (deoxyribo nucleic acid) which is made up of thousands of segments called genes, that are capable of synthesizing specific proteins (proteins are the biochemical building blocks of life).

Genes, or chromosomes, contained in the nucleus of each of the trillions of cells in our body — and which are what make us people rather than dogs or tulips — form templates for the production of proteins.

By directing the manufacture of proteins, the genes determine our individual biological development in the second month. Who directs the genes, let me ask you? Themselves? They are not an intelligent being.

Is it fate? Fate is not an intelligent being. If you say you are a product of fate, then you might as well say you’re a product of space or hot air. Who then directs the genes? God the Creator, who is an intelligent being, and who created the genes in the first place as well as everything else in this whole universe. Let God be God!

The more science and technology advances, the more God looks good.

What are we aborting?

What are we aborting? Not dogs or tulips nor blobs of tissue. We are aborting PEOPLE.

People who should be conceived in the love and intimate relationship of one man and one woman joined together for life. “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:6).

So, what are we aborting then outside of a marriage union? We are aborting people conceived out of sexual acts that we have messed up, abused and misused — and that we, as parents and adults and educators and politicians, have not taught in truth to our children (upbringing) and are not teaching in truth even to our own selves, as grown-ups having gone astray and in need of repentance.

It's ok to say we had a bad upbringing or childhood, therefore we are what we are -- but there comes a time when we need to repent of it ourselves!

It is inconceivable that any justification for any deviate sex, other than its normal purpose and course, could be concocted, approved or accepted in any way, shape or form. Sex is but a sacred amalgamation of two people for which God only can get the glory. Children, the result of sexual activity within the marriage bed, are a gift from God, a lending of a life for a short time.

“O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

"For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; the fowl of the air and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:1-9, Old King James bible).

Just as we are not sinners because we sin, but we sin because we are sinners, sex was not made for pleasure but there is pleasure in sex. God made sex for reproduction purposes and not for mere self gratification. In Fundamentals of Physiology, describing the male sex act components, it refers to them as, “these strictly reproductive-related components”.

In medical or scientific terms the sexual parts of the human being, are called the reproductive system. It is just another system like the respiratory system, the digestive system, nervous, endoctrine, circulatory, defense, immune systems, etc.

God, the Creator made sex pleasurable to attract the husband and wife to reproduce. God is not stupid, if it wasn’t a pleasant experience, He could say good-bye to procreation.

Unfortunately the adversary - the devil - stole it and distorted it for total destructive means.

By the way, sex is more principally pleasurable for men than for women and don’t let Hollywood make you believe otherwise. However, as we have seen earlier, the brain is the controller, not the sexual organ. My heart aches when I see young people today being wrongly taught by movies and videos, that the woman wants sex all the time, which are total lies and perversions, distorted demonstrations of what a woman and a man is and should be.

Because it is procreation of the human race, the sex act is sacred and should be respected.

God is the Creator of the first of mankind, then mankind became the procreator of the continuing human race. It takes a man and a woman to procreate another human being. In this world of ours, the highest of its creatures is man (man meaning mankind — man and woman). Everything is under man’s dominion. (Genesis 1:26)

Pornography has come a long way since its promiscuous development of the early 50’s. Today, pornography is so explicit that it is difficult for men to not be strongly affected by it. However, you and I know pornography is wrong.

First of all, men, it is disrespectful to your wives and daughters and sisters and mothers — and to God Himself who sees you, and to whom you are now and will be accountable.

And, women who are involved in making pornography available, it is disrespectful and degrading to your own selves, to other women, to your fathers, brothers, boy friends or husbands/husbands-to-be, and of course to God, and to all of the rest of the female population who wants no part of this exploitation, lie, slavery and degrading practice.

Where does the money go?

Second, all of you who buy pornography are supporting the largest financial chunk of the multi-billion dollar pornography underworld economy that’s responsible for criminal and illegal activities. You want to do something about the debt deficit? Give that money to debt reduction. Go ahead, give it to the Government, and don’t tell me you wouldn’t give a cent to the Government when you give billions to the pornography underworld.

The Government has given you more than the pornography underworld has given you. The Government has given you roads and sewers and running water and schools and health care; it has given you a municipal, provincial and national system in which you move and live and are free to come and go from your homes and cottages and work places and businesses, and in which you can make constructive decisions. However flawed the Government may be, it is still a Government that’s elected by the people!

Third, collective pornography in any of its many forms is the intrinsic cause of rape and sexual abuse and sexual crimes on women and children and men too nowadays. It is time we face the fact that there are two extremes: right and wrong, good and evil, God and Satan — however you choose to call it, a rose is still a rose, a thistle is still a thistle, by any other name. You are either on one side or on the other.

You might say, “I’m not a bad person, I just have a little pornography”. Do you say, “I’m not a sick person, I just have a little cancer”. Wouldn’t you find out what caused or is causing your cancer and do everything in your power to get rid of it? Someone coined “Pornography is Acid Rain to the Brain”. And that is a very appropriate description. It is a dark cancer of the mind.

It is pollution of the human being.

The health of the soul is more important than the physical health. Physical health will not cause adultery, perversion, abuse and murder — the sick soul, the sick mind, will.

Do you say that pornography does not deteriorate the human race. Do you say that only those who are “predisposed” will be affected and those who are already so inclined? If a plague was discovered in our city to affect 1% of the population, would we say, it’s nothing, we need not do anything, only those predisposed will be affected?

It may be 1% today, but a plague will be 2% and 3% and 10% sooner or later. As the plague grows, the predisposition grows also. Eventually, if left unchecked, you and I know that it will get everybody. The cancer has to be removed right down at its root. In all the 19 civilizations that have historically risen and fallen, 16 fell from their own internal decay.

And right now studies show that within Christianity there are 40% of the men who are into pornography. Imagine the non-Christian population -- except for the small exception!

We stand without excuse in the pornography issue which is soiling our land and bringing the curse that we see today upon it, having the blood of innocent children and people and unborn babies on our hands. What are we going to do about it?

A historical Bible story

Here’s what a king in Bible times did. This would be like our Prime Minister finding a Bible, reading it for the first time and acting upon it to clean up the nation. As you read the names, where appropriate they would be like our priests and ministers, politicians, and those who are guilty of polluting the land. Notes in parenthesis are given for clarifications of words in the Old King James English:

“And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent (tore up) his clothes” (II Kings 22:11).

And the king commanded his priests to inquire of the Lord for himself and for all the people concerning the words of the book that was found, saying, “for great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened (listened and obeyed) unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.” And the king called and gathered the elders of the land and all the inhabitants both small and great into the house of the Lord and read them the words of the book of the covenant.

“And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.” (II Kings 22:12-23:3)

Verses 4-25 continue: “And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels that were made for Baal (false god that had polluted the people), and for the grove (wooden idols), and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without (outside of) Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.

“And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places (shrines) in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

“And he brought out the grove from the house of the Lord, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.“And he brake (broke) down the houses of the sodomites (places of pornography and adultery and all other perversions), that were by the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the grove.

“And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled (destroyed) the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man’s left hand at the gate of the city.

“Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.

The king went from one city to the other...

“And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech (equivalent to abortions and other abuses of children).

“And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain (the official), which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.

“And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

“And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right and of the amount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and the Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, (particular local false gods and practices) did the king defile.

“And he brake (broke) in pieces the images, and cut down the groves and filled their places with the bones of men.

“Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.

“And as Josiah (the king) turned himself, he spied (saw) the sepulchers that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchers, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the Lord which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.

“Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, it is the sepulcher of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.

“And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

“And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.

“And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men’s bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.

After it was all finished...

“And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the Lord your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.

“Surely there was not holden (held) such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the Lord in Jerusalem.”

What a role model for young people! the king was 26 years old at that time.

The king had missed a few psychic enterprises and astrologers...

“Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.

“And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.”

THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE

We cannot do anything like this on our own. We need Power from on High! The way we get this Power is by plugging into the Way, the Truth and the Life that connects us to that Power. And that is, the one and only, Jesus Christ, the Son of God -- God in the flesh.

He has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He has come to take away the key from Satan. He has come to set the captives free. He is the liberator of man, woman and child. He has come down from glory to die on a cross and rise from the grave so that we might rise above worldly deceptions. So that we might be resurrected with Him in His resurrection. So that we might be free. Free to be ourselves. Free to love and be loved. Free to receive peace not like the world gives, but “peace that passeth understanding” and “joy unspeakable and full of glory” (John 14:27, Philippians 4:7, 1 Peter 1:8).

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Do you want this freedom? This peace? This glory? This abundant life? Do you want a clean life? A peaceful life?
