A personal invitation to know God
This page is a personal invitation to know God. It could change your life.
God is the creator of mankind and everything around us -- the heavens, the earth and everything therein. It stands to reason that He is the best resource for all of life's questions. Do you know Him? Do you want to know Him? I'm not talking about an "intellectual" knowledge. I really mean a personal knowledge. A heart knowledge. This is your personal invitation ... By knowing Him, you will have a relationship with your Creator. He is your Saviour also. And that is where it all begins. Repentance. Turning to Him. Every one -- that is every individual who ever lived, whoever is living now and whoever will live, needs to be "saved". Saved from sin -- or separation from God. The Good News is that everyone can come to Him for Salvation through Jesus Christ who came in the flesh (God) to be the way, the truth and the life... Jesus Christ was not created. He is the Creator. Everything was made by Him. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him... (Colossians 1:16). Your personal invitation to ask God into your life, into your heart...
You can get saved right now by simply asking the Lord. What you need to do is simply: 1) Admit that you are a sinner. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). 2) Believe. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). 3) Repent. "Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). Repent means to turn around - the other way. 4) Receive. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God" (John 1:12). 5) Confess. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9) Say this prayer: "Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and in need of a Saviour. I accept you now as my personal Saviour and ask you to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. I believe that you died on the cross for me and that you rose out of the grave and are alive today and forever. I believe that your blood shed on the cross washes me clean and that through you God forgives me and accepts me into His Kingdom right now as a child of God. From this day on, I will read the Bible which is the Word of God, I will join a born-again Bible-believing church where I can begin to learn and grow as a born-again Christian — a follower of Jesus Christ — and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And thank you Lord for this personal invitation." Amen.
If you *sincerely* prayed this prayer, God has honoured it and you are now a child of God. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of getting into the Word of God right away and of testifying to the fact that you have asked God into your heart and have now committed your life to God.
A good place to start reading your Bible is the book (or the letter) of John which is found in the New Testament. It was written to the believers and it presents Jesus as God. Then the other three Gospels - Matthew, Mark and Luke are written from different individual perspectives... Matthew was written primarily with the Jews in mind and it presents Jesus as the Messiah. Mark was written primarily to the Romans and presents Jesus as the conqueror. Luke, to the Greeks, presenting Jesus as the "perfect man". Each appealed to the basic, in-bred philosophies of the main nationalities of the time — which are still essentially found today. The Gospels present the Good News of Salvation by Jesus (God) Himself.(To read the Four Gospels in chronological order, click here.) Then read the letters of the New Testament that explain the Good News of Salvation which is all about living the new faith as a Christian. For the history of the Church, read the book of Acts. Write and tell us about your new found faith.
