About the bible school
This is about the background and history of the Link School of Ministries, the Bible school, from it's humble beginning in 1979 to present...
1979 - was founded as part of the Link Prayer Ministries by Rev. Art Mullin to offer a Bible school of Christian-based studies in preparation for ministry, through a network of members and friends.
1995 - was federally incorporated in Canada as a non-profit charitable organization and transferred into the care of Rev. Dr. D. M. Hoffmann. Was then offered on a national and international level through an expanded means of advertising, promotions as well as the continuous personal networking 1997 - the Bible school added a Business Division under its Basic Human Needs Assistance, offering community-based seminars to the unemployed, self-employed, small business operators and upwardly-moving employed individuals. 1998 - a Personal Growth Division was added to the Bible shcool to offer community-based seminars in communication and personal improvement. 1998 - a Health & Nutrition Division was added to the Bible shcool to complement the human needs assistance and to complete LSM's Vision to minister to the Whole Person -- Spirit, Soul and Body. 1999 - expanded its offerings through internet convenience where potential students can peruse the information and print out an application to forward to the school by post. 2002 - operation and administration of the Link School was moved to BC and continues to be handled by it's present president/executive director. 2003 - an Chapel of the Link School was opened in Campbell River, BC, renting the Community Hall in Willow Point, as the start of the intent to provide in-class courses in addition to the correspondence programs. 2004 - conducted Sunday services at the Homalco First Nation community hall. 2005 - a new unit was rented as office/coffee house/Chapel on 13th Avenue in Campbell River, BC. to offer local in-house Bible classes, business and self-improvement seminars, ministry training, reading rooms, Gospel music jams, meeting rooms for ministries, etc... etc.... 2006 - in October, the ministry could not renew the lease for another year because of the lack of financial support. Dr. Hoffmann could no longer pay for the expenses and had to painfully pass on the fabulous lease offer the landlord was prepared to give to the ministry. 2007 - the ministry continued perating the Internet School out of the home office, and renting locations as needed for special meetings and seminars. 2007-2008 - the ministry continues to pray for a location so that it can offer on-going classes, Sunday services for students to practice delivery of sermons, business seminars, a place for people to drop in and have a coffee, read a book, etc. Having its own location is also required in order to get the School accredited, and to train believers for readiness for when the time comes to pass on the torch to the next generation of ministers who will carry on this work of God in the future. Please pray with us ! God wants to! but we are His hands and feet... man's spirit is willing but the flesh is weak indeed.
