Dr. Diane on a word about "Anything with Nothing"...

from July 2007

Dear Friends:

It's been a little while since I wrote a word on this page. Just too busy making a living outside the ministry ! And I'm not saying that to justify the need.

I've always maintained that ministry comes first! And the work of the Kingdom must increase while the work of the world must decrease. However, one has to do what one has to do in order to pay the bills...

I was giving a seminar to a group of clients a few days ago and we were talking about the difficulty of getting people to help in non-profit organizations.

It is the same in the Church or in secular non-profits. Just a handful of people commit themselves to giving of their time as volunteers.

It is also known in business too -- 20% of the people doing 80% of the work. Well that was the old saying. Today, it is more like 15% of the people doing 85% of the work. In non-profit organization, I have no hesitation to say that it is now 10% of the people doing 90% of the work. It is pretty bad.

People would rather watch TV or the Internet than inconvenience themselves with helping others.

Anyway, as we covered this situation, I remembered an old writing that someone gave me years ago from an anonymous author that says:

"We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Thought you would appreciate this if you are in the 20-10% group ! :-)

As you browse through this web site, may the Lord bless you with His Word...

Dr Diane

P.S.:Please pray for this ministry that the Lord will place it on the hearts of people to send in a donation to help cover the expenses and the growth and vision of this ministry.
