Glenn Beck and Mormonism : Expanded notes on my last writings on the subject of Glenn Beck and his Mormon belief...
by Dr. Diane M. Hoffmann
This article expands on my last writings on the subject of Glenn Beck and his Mormon belief. (Links at the end of the article). Why is this important? Because Glenn has been influencing and attracting an enormous amount of people throughout the US, Canada and around the world. No doubt he has been doing a phenomenal successful work in standing for Israel and exposing the corruptions in the race toward social globalization. And we thank him for that. I had recently begun to share with a handful of people how, in praying for Glenn Beck's salvation, I had felt impressed of the Lord that He would save Glenn after he had finished with him doing that work. The idea is that a born-again Christian would not be able to do this political work because, a) the masses would not receive the message from a born-again Christian, and, b) because born-again Christians do not give themselves to the subject of historical and current politics. However, I have since been led to new revelations about Glenn and his position on Mormonism... and I feel a deeper grief in my heart for Glenn then ever before. The question now is: Is this God's work at all? First of all, I have been very dismayed at the lack of information that people – including Christians – have about Glenn and Mormonism -- many don’t realize that Glenn is a Mormon and many don’t realize that Mormons don’t believe in Jesus Christ being God. More on this further below. His testimony sadly shows him to have been a most vulnerable victim during the course of his pitiful search for a church for him and his family... To make a long story short, at a time when Glenn had reached his lowest point in his life, being deep in alcoholism and drugs, anger and despair, he began to search for a church which led him to the Mormon church. From there, being the doer that he is, he moved up in the ranks of Mormon doctrines. Mormons actually believe they are Christians, and work hard at making others believe the same. They say they follow Christ, they have been saved by Christ’s atonement, etc… they use the Biblical scriptures to quote all that sounds Christian. However the meaning behind all of their pseudo-Christian verbage is totally different. For example, according to Mormonism, Jesus is the brother of Lucifer. Both were begotten by sexual acts of an imaginary “god the father” on one of the far out planets. Then in order to redeem mankind, in sundry of times there was a Council Meeting among the gods, in the Milky Way somewhere, as to who would go down to earth to bring that redemptive plan to mankind. Both Jesus and Lucifer were present at this meeting. Jesus was elected. What Jesus did on the cross is conditional on the works of a so-called “born-again” Mormon. They come to a new life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and begin their journey for salvation. If, on judgment day, their good works exceed their transgressions they will be saved into the kingdom of god (their kingdom of god where they have attained godhood themselves and will live a polygamous life). Does this remind you of another religion with similar promises? More on this later. If you think this is hard to believe, you’re right. It is. And one wonders how anyone can believe such tales. But, you see, many of the Mormons themselves don’t know about these occult fantasies authored by their founder and prophet Joseph Smith, who, according to their doctrines, took over the works of Jesus Christ in this dispensation. From testimonies of “sealed” people who came out of this cult, there are only 30% who make it into the Mormon Temple to prepare for godhood! The Mormon hierarchy works very hard to be seen as main stream and deceives the people to believe they are a Christian church. And they seem to be achieving a good amount of success among the nonchalant and vulnerable populace. The thirty percent who come to be part of the hierarchy by being “approved” obedient members, go through a ceremony of “sealing with powers and principalities” rituals (which Glenn Beck partook of, according to Ed Decker’s testimony, similar to the Freemason rituals), (See radio interview at this link, scroll down to September 10 part 1 and 2.) which, among other things, give them power to bless Israel. Their sacred talisman markings undergarment protect them against evil from that day on for the rest of their lives. They believe their blood is converted to Jewish blood and they become Jews of the house of Manassah. My research showed that there are two types of ordinances performed in the Temples: ordinances for the living, and the identical rituals done by proxy for the dead. These then have the chance to become Temple Mormons while waiting in "Spirit Prison" for the Millennium. If they choose to accept the proxy ritual, they are then allowed to go to "Paradise", the home of all worthy Mormons who have died. The one "special" ritual for the dead is water baptism by proxy. From a former Mormon testimony: "This subject is, without a doubt, the most difficult portion of Mormon theology. It is so sacred that only one out of every four Mormons have ever participated in its ritual, so strict that only half of this select few are still worthy to go through the rites again. It is so secret that every participant must swear never to reveal its mysteries under the penalty of death. I am speaking about The Temple of the God Makers.”Read the details at this link. (Please note: the last time I tried to get to this web site it did not work. I don't know what the problem might be, but keep trying.) Jack Kinsella was an American who went on the "Restoring Courage" trip on behalf of others who wanted to have a first-hand account of the event. He said that on the chartered transportation, the participants were offered a side trip to Brigham Young University on arrival. There was money raised for Mormonism. There were tracks on Mormonism, however they had been asked by the Israeli government representatives not to proselytize. The travel agency Glenn Beck commissioned was Mormon connected. There were "Mormon minders" wherever there were groups of people. These are trained Mormons who, when any one brought up questions about Mormonism they would come up and change the subject. There were a lot of buzz words and catchy phrases. A lot of activities went on but not to do with Jesus... a lot of the tours were on Catholic locations and about Mary... it was all ecumenical. You will also hear this on the radio interviews link given above. Glenn Beck said that the Mormon church turned him around and he doesn't care if he ends up in hell... it gave him a life and a family, etc... These words alone give him away about the true Christian born-again experience. It is said that Joseph Smith used to ride around on a white horse acting as a general. In Mormonism there is also a "White Horse Prophecy" which was authored by Joseph Smith that says that when the constitution would be hanging in by a thread in the end times, then the Mormon elders would step in and provide leadership to the country. Just recently on the front cover of Time Magazine, was a picture of the constitution having been shred... Mormons believe that they will enter the white house in the nick of time and save the country... There is a great push right now with Mormon politicians entering the presidential race. With the influence of Glenn Beck’s radio and TV shows, Mormons have become more and more accepted as a “Christian” religion. Coincidence? Is it all part of a bigger plan? There are a lot of political and religious groups around the world vying for “world domination”. Lots of “conspiracy theories”. They are all the signs of the times that Jesus talked about in the end times where there would be many Christs: “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Mark 13:5-7). Another angel, another gospel, another prophet... That same angel who appeared to Joseph Smith also appeared to the founder of Islam some twelve hundred years earlier. The whole similar concoctions come from the same author behind it all – Satan. (See my other article on this.) And there are many other cults with similar false doctrines. Satan is not creative... he merely recycles the same lies... Millions are being deceived and led astray. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6). People don't have discernment any more... Many Christians don't even carry their Bible to Church where they go to receive sermonettes practical to their current shallow living. All this does not mean that I no longer believe God will save Glenn Beck... we need to continue to pray for him -- and all Mormons for that matter, but will God save all Mormons too? Well, will God save everybody? No... God wishes that all would come to repentance and be saved ("The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.", 2 Peter 3:9), however, the majority of people did not, do not and will not. Glenn is one of many who have been deceived and victimized by a major cult. But he particularly is so sincere in what he is doing for America that it makes it even more sad to see. Glenn believes that he can change the world. But the Word of God has it all written down how it's going to end. Glens also believes that man can rule himself. But he cannot. Why? Because of sin. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:8-10). Sin needs to be dealt with first (See the last book of the Bible). The Word of God says that man cannot rule himself until God Himself comes the second time to rule the world in power as King of Kings and Lord of Lords -- not the brother of Lucifer -- but Jesus Christ, God incarnate, the Word made flesh, the Creator of all things. (See John 1). We need to pray. But to pray, we need to be informed. /dmh For more of my articles on Glenn Beck and Mormonism,
